Tips For Selling Your Car
There are several possibilities available when it comes time to list your used car for sale by owner. You have the internet with sites like Craigslist, eBay, numerous consignment sites and auction sites. Just about all newspapers have an online classified section so check your local paper, papers like thrifty nickel, Pennysaver, American classifieds to name a few have papers in just about every city. Most of these have free online ads and for printed ads they are pretty cheap. There is a growing number of for sale by owner web sites that you can list with.
As with any online dealing you have to do some checking to determine if they are legitimate or just out to get your money. A few things to keep in mind; You will have much better success if you do a good job detailing your car so that it is showing all that it has to offer, Take several pictures even if you just need 2 or 3 for getting the add put up, you can offer additional pictures to anyone interested in your car.
Speaking for myself I do not get serious about buying something unless I can see enough pictures to clearly show what it is and if there is any obvious damage. Write a good article about your car go into some detail on how dependable it has been, list the features any additional items it may have (premium stereo, wheels, seats, etc.) For pickups does it have a tow package, fifth wheel, gooseneck hitch etc.? Try to be descriptive without writing a book most people want to find out about how great your car is without having to spend a lot of time reading a book about it. Good luck selling your car.
